Arne Jacobsen,
born 1902 in Copenhagen, is one of the most renowned international
architects from the post-war period. His work containes about 300
projects in architecture, industry-, furniture- and textile-design,
his chairs for the Fritz Hansen company are true classics, as well
as the AJ-silver, the armatures for the Vola company and many lighting
designs. The most famous buildings are the Bellavista housings,
the city administrations of Åarhus and Rødovre, the
Søholm houses, Munkegårt school, the SAS-Hotel in Copenhagen,
as well as the St. Catherine’s College in Oxford. |
